The motor vehicle crash that resulted in the death of 26-year old Bryant Nolan of Milford, who was riding a motorcycle, occurred shortly before 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, Stratford police said in a press release.
In the release Stratford Police Captain Paul DosSantos confirmed, “Preliminary investigation shows the car was traveling north on Main Street and attempting to turn left from Main Street onto McPadden Drive. The motorcycle was traveling south on Main Street when it collided with the car. The motorcycle operator, Nolan, was transported to Bridgeport Hospital with serious injuries” where he died later on the day.
The name of the driver of the car in the accident has not been released.
Nolan’s brother Bill Nolan is apparently the source of the following Facebook post: “Just wanted you guys to send out a prayer for me and my family. I lost my little brother in a motorcycle accident yesterday in Stratford.. He was only 26. Words can’t begin to explain the grief that I feel. …. He was such a happy-go-lucky guy. Always knew how to put a smile on your face.”
DosSantos said the crash remains under investigation, and he asks that anyone with information about the accident call Stratford Police Detective Brian Oliver at 203-381-2098.
DosSantos said it is too early to comment on whether or not Nolan was wearing a helmet or whether either vehicle might have been exceeding the speed limit.
