Teaching fire safety

Stratford Fire Department firefighters recently visited ABC Child Care and Learning Center on Broadbridge Avenue. Firefighters discussed fire safety and the importance of recognizing and not fearing a firefighter in his/her full gear when entering a home that is on fire. The children watched a firefighter put on their gear and were taught the purpose of the gear. They were able to interact with the firefighters and touch/explore their firefighting equipment. After the lesson, they explored the fire truck.
