Bridgeport men charged after drug investigation

Two men were arrested — and drugs, a gun and money were seized — when police served a warrant in Bridgeport linked to drug sales in Stratford.

On Sept. 6, members of the Stratford Police Narcotics Vice and Intelligence Unit executed a search warrant for 40 Suggetts Lane in Bridgeport as the result of an ongoing investigation in narcotics activity in the area of Honeyspot Road and Stratford Avenue. Stratford’s unit was assisted by members of Bridgeport Police Tactical Narcotics Team.

Police said officers located crack cocaine, packaging materials, a stolen firearm that was loaded, and $3,059 in suspected drug proceeds, all of which were taken as evidence.

Dennis Lewis, 22, of Bridgeport, was charged with criminal possession of a firearm, operating a drug factory, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, two counts of sale of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school, and two counts of sale of crack cocaine.

Lewis posted a $150,000 bond and was due in court Sept. 17.

Devin Foster, 26, of Bridgeport was charged with sale of crack cocaine within 1,500 feet of a school, possession of crack cocaine with intent to sell, and operating a drug factory.

Foster posted a $25,000 bond was scheduled to appear in court Sept. 17.
